What’s a denim detox? Cara Delevingne finds out

This spring, Cara Delevingne was at Cannes, where Jordan Firstman’s Club Kid took the festival by storm. Over the summer, she swapped the red carpet for the recording studio, putting the finishing touches to her debut album, Not Normal. Come autumn, the album is out, and she’s back in fashion, this time as the face of ARMEDANGELS’ Autumn/Winter 2026 DETOXDENIM collection.

The campaign, titled “Never the Expected”, takes place inside the fictional DETOXDENIM Lab, where Delevingne gets to grips with a rather different kind of experiment: making jeans without the harmful chemicals traditionally used in denim production. Since 2018, ARMEDANGELS has been rethinking every stage of the process, from materials and manufacturing to washes and finishing, with DETOXDENIM built around a simple idea: denim that’s better for people and the planet, without compromising on fit, quality or style.

This season, that thinking is powered by two key innovations: First, SaXcell® (a lyocell fibre made from 30% recycled cotton textile waste and 70% FSC®-certified wood pulp) offers virgin-grade quality with a soft feel and a beautiful drape. Then there’s selvedge denim, woven on traditional looms to create a particularly clean, robust edge. ARMEDANGELS uses organic cotton and replaces the classic red selvedge with a distinctive yellow, a subtle nod to the brand’s identity.

The collection leans into bold washes in deep indigo and vintage-inspired looks, alongside the season’s new hero silhouettes. For womenswear, that means the workwear-inspired barrel fit Aalthea, the wide-leg Enijaa and Astraeaas, and the straight-cut Aikaala. For men, there’s the Relaxed Tapered Fit Maakxy, the Baggy Fit Jaameo and, new to the range, the Classic Straight Fit Maadox.

The new DETOXDENIM collection with Cara Delevingne is available from September 17, 2026 at armedangels.com and in stores.
